In this video I’ll be reviewing a wine from Aldi ($7.99). The full label reads: Cotes de Gascogne, Indication Geographique Protegee France, Tour de Soleil Blanc.
This is a wine from Southern France. According to the label: “This aromatic white wine offers aromas of citrus and peach fruit. It is soft on the palate with good acidity in the background and a persistent finish.”
When I smelled it I got citrus fruit, but when I tasted it, it was more fruity. I did get a peach taste. It was low in acidity, and the finish, while nice, didn’t linger.
I would say to get this one if you want a simple, lightly fruited white wine. If you’re looking for something bolder, you may want to try something else.
